This position is a leadership role that requires regular meetings with production supervisors and Oxygen8 leadership to ensure smooth operations and that any issues are addressed and resolved on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodology to increase opportunities for on-time delivery, scaling capacity, cost savings, product quality, and safety improvements.
  • Train and manage employees to promote a culture of safety, quality, employee engagement, customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Review work order instructions with the Production Manager for production requirements.
  • Assemble Energy Recovery Ventilators with basic hand tools (cutting, drilling, riveting, screwing, caulking)
  • Install electrical components and wire parts according to work instructions.
  • Testing – checking motors and fans, etc. for operational readiness.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, clean work area according to WorkSafeBC and 5S standards.
  • Various other duties as assigned.
Experience Production Planning and Execution
  • Coordinates production operations across assembly, manufacturing and warehouse/shipping and receiving teams
  • Directs unit supervisors in establishing and maintaining production schedules within established procedures and budgets.
  • Recruit or assist in the recruitment of new employees
  • Responsible for the Oxygen8 production facility
  • Oversees the utilization of Oxygen8’s ERP system (Epicor) by the Manufacturing Team
Leadership and People Management
  • Provides leadership and supports direct reports including setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on an informal basis so that all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives
  • Manages and coaches a team of professionals, motivates employees through sincere and concrete feedback and takes appropriate action when needed
  • Encourages team cooperation and ensures team leads and supervisors are willing to and capable of realizing the set objectives.
  • Builds a culture of safety and continuous improvement to help create a safe work environment for all employees
Reporting
  • Develop and monitor the relevant KPIs to maintain an insight into the performance in the assigned area against the set targets, and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitors established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
Quality / Health and Safety Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations to minimize industrial injuries and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and implements improvements to the Oxygen8 systems, processes and practices in order to improve & optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the processes
About You
  • Manages the operational activities in production in order to achieve an efficient and effective execution and delivery of results
  • Proven experience managing and leading teams in an operational or manufacturing setting
  • Degree in Engineering, Business or Operations would be an asset
  • Previous production management experience preferred
  • An understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Experience with 5S, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement initiatives and other Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • A knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Outstanding communication ability, including negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • A deep-rooted knowledge in supply chain and planning of both production and materials.

The Epicor ERP Specialist contributes to the overall success of the organization by providing ongoing maintenance and implementation of products in our Epicor Kinetic platform. This position will work closely with our department heads and will based out of our production facility office in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain and support Epicor ERP system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Epicor ERP modules
  • Develop and maintain reports
  • Provide Epicor ERP module training for employees
  • Assist employees with data migration
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all modules of Epicor ERP
  • Design and implement customizations, workflows, and dashboards to meet business requirements
  • Stay up to date with the latest Epicor ERP releases and functionality
  • Manage upgrades and system migrations as necessary

We are looking for someone with the following skills, experiences, and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Admin. Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience working as an Epicor ERP consultant or working in an Epicor ERP environment
  • Prior experience with ERP software is required (Epicor 9, 10, Kinetic)
  • Epicor certification is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities
Document & SOP Creation
  • Create and implement a full QC process for inbound and outbound materials.
  • Maintain end-of-line quality control documentation
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and manufacturing engineers to review and revise quality documents; procedures, work instructions and forms to ensure a safe, efficient, standardized, and practical workflow.
  • Work with the QC team and material handlers to set up a process to review all incoming materials to ensure they meet necessary quality standards.
  • Develop new and amend current processes to support Oxygen8’s operational requirements.
  • Ensure workflows, processes and products comply with safety and regulatory regulations.
  • Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes.
  • Set priorities based on operational requirements and risks associated.
  • Assist in creating and achieving departmental QC goals.
Lead QC Team
  • Lead QC team including final QC and End of Line testing oversight (2-4 team members to begin)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field issues and corrective and preventative measures
  • Work with QC team to ensure all manufactured materials meet engineering specifications.
  • Oversee Final QC team to review all finished products during assembly process to ensure a high level of build quality.
Experience and Skills:
  • Engineering, Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in quality control preferred
  • Experience leading a small team preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment in a hands-on position

We are looking for interns in their 2nd year of study in one of the following areas of study: Mechanical, Process, Electrical, System, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering.

Key Responsibilities 
Engineering Interns will work closely with our Manufacturing Engineers, Production and Operations Teams, and Production Manager to support:
  • The creation and revision of manufacturing and assembly standard operation procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality checklists.
  • Training efforts by organizing and updating training materials related to manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Time studies and process cycle analyses to identify constraints and opportunities for improvement.
  • 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Supply incoming quality inspections and final quality checks of finished products.
  • Supply chain to manage product inventory and ensure proper inventory levels.
Experience and Skills
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Engineering program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, in a hands-on position
  • Team player with a positive attitude, and excellent collaborative, and interpersonal skills
